The bowl season makes its annual stop in Shreveport, La. for the AdvoCare V100 Independence Bowl, pitting two teams with nary a defense between them. Texas A&M allowed an average of 32.7 points per game this year while Georgia allowed 26.4 and just fired its defensive coordinator. If you have nothing else going on today at 5:00 and you like points, it might be wort tuning in to ESPN2.
This is a 2-point game, which is good news for Chris Burke, who has yet to miss one of those. It is also required for the ESPN the Ocho Bonus, since it's one of two bowl games televised on ESPN2 instead of regular ESPN, and the Louis Armstrong's Saxophone Bonus, since it's being played in Louisiana. It's the first Ocho Bonus game, so everybody's still alive for that one. Dan, Yohan, Rob, Bob, Chris B and Sal all remain eligible for the Armstrong Bonus.
Even game for the pool, as eight people picked Texas A&M and seven picked Georgia, the 7-point favorite.
